FRANCHISE NOTES

In Miami, Barry Jackson reports that after the Marlins'
recent personnel moves, "several fans" who made partial
payments for '98 season tickets "have requested and received
refunds." But team VP/Sales & Marketing Jim Ross said that
while 500 people made partial payments on '98 season tickets
-- ranging from $100 to $400 -- fewer than 10 have asked for
a refund (MIAMI HERALD, 11/25)....In Denver, prices
increased for 68% of the seats at Coors Field for the '98
season, "most dramatically" in the lower deck, from $22 to
$25. If all seats are sold, the increases will generate 8%
more revenue than in '97. The team will keep about 30% of
tickets the same cost, while 1,500 seats will be reduced
(DENVER POST, 11/25)....The "Hanson Brothers" -- of "Slap
Shot" fame -- performed during the IHL Rafales- Admirals
game Saturday night. The game drew 10,480, Milwaukee's
largest crowd of the season (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 11/23).
