JORDAN'S N.Y. STEAKHOUSE IS UPSCALE: NO JETS FANS ALLOWED?

In a licensing agreement with Manhattan-based Glazier
Group that was signed yesterday, "Michael Jordan - The
Steakhouse" will open in February in New York's Grand
Central Station, according to Florence Fabricant of the N.Y.
TIMES. Under terms of the deal, the restaurant will use
Jordan's name and be run by Penny and Peter Glazier, who run
the upscale, "The Monkey Bar," among others. The 150-seat
steakhouse will occupy 7,000 square feet, with a 60-seat bar
and a "small retail shop" selling mainly restaurant related
items. The menu's "typical steakhouse main courses" will be
priced "in the $20 range." Peter Glazier: "It's about fine
dining and Michael Jordan the businessman. There will not
be any sports memorabilia or photographs of Michael Jordan
shooting baskets in the restaurant." The Glaziers "hope to
become involved in more projects" with Jordan after the
     steakhouse opens (N.Y. TIMES, 11/25).
