PAUL STANKOWSKI NOT STANDING FOR ANY APPAREL DEAL!

          Paul Stankowski has been released from his contract
     with AZ-based Tommy Bahama Apparel effective December 31. 
     TX-based Cornerstone Sports hopes to have a new apparel deal
     for Stankowski by week's end (Cornerstone Sports). 
          BULL MARKET: The '98 TV golf marketplace is shaping up
     to be "bullish," according to Langdon Brockinton of
     MEDIAWEEK.  Sources tell Brockinton that CBS has already
     sold "virtually" all of its first-quarter '98 PGA Tour
     inventory, more than 85% of its commercial time in the
     second quarter and "upwards" of 90% of its third-quarter
     supply (MEDIAWEEK, 11/10 issue)....Tiger Woods earned a $3M
     bonus from Titleist for finishing atop the PGA Tour money
     list (GOLFWEEK, 11/10 issue)....Under its "For the Good of
     the Game" program, the U.S. Golf Association has pledged to
     spend $50M over the next 10 years to increase participation
     in the game by minorities, youth and players with
     disabilities (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 10/7)....FL-based Visual Edge
     Systems has reached an agreement in principle with UT-based
     Chequemate Technologies for its C-3D digital imaging system
     for personalized sports videos including its "One-on-One
     with Greg Norman" personalized video golf lessons (VSE).
