          During yesterday's plunge on Wall Street, PAUL ALLEN
     "suffered a paper loss of" $625M yesterday on his Microsoft
     and Home Shopping Network holdings, while Nike CEO PHIL
     KNIGHT "saw his net worth decrease by" $179M (N.Y. POST
     10/28).....Rockets Owner LESLIE ALEXANDER has contributed
     $15,000 to the campaign of former Houston Police Chief LEE
     BROWN's campaign for Mayor.  Alexander's PAC, Roughy PAC,
     contributed $10,000 to Brown, while he and his wife had each
     donated $5,000 earlier in the campaign.  IHL Aeros Owner
     CHUCK WATSON has contributed $5,000 and NBA Commissioner
     DAVID STERN, and his wife, have given a total of $1,000 to
     Brown's campaign (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 10/28)....ENTERTAINMENT
     WEEKLY's "Power" issue lists its 101 Most Powerful People in
     Entertainment.  Among them: No. 2, Time Warner's GERALD
     LEVIN and TED TURNER; No. 3, News Corp. Chair RUPERT
     MURDOCH; No. 4, Walt Disney Chair MICHAEL EISNER; No. 22,
     News Corp. COO PETER CHERNIN; No. 30, Fox COO DAVID HILL;
     No. 32 Microsoft Chair BILL GATES; No. 74, PAUL ALLEN and
     No. 76 ABC Sports/ESPN CEO STEVE BORNSTEIN (EW, 10/31). MIKE
     TYSON and DON KING announced donations to various charities
     yesterday.  King, on Tyson: "Good works do not absolve
     someone of a crime or unsavory acts, but we must learn to
     forgive" (N.Y. POST, 10/28).
