HOME DEPOT SIGNS ON FOR EIGHT MORE YEARS OF "OLYMPIC GLORY"

          The Home Depot announced its sponsorship of the U.S.
     and Canadian Olympic and Paralympic teams through 2004 and
     its sponsorship of the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. 
     The agreements include cash and in-kind contributions in the
     U.S. of products and services (OPUS).  As part of the deal,
     Home Depot "will underwrite the production and tour of two
     40-minute IMAX films about the Olympics, called 'Olympic
     Glory'" (AD AGE DAILY, 10/15).  The AP reported that
     "sources estimated the package was worth between" $50M and
     $80M in cash (AP/N.Y. TIMES, 10/16).
