HAS "INFIGHTING" AT COURT TV SLOWED SPORTS LAW SERIES?

VARIETY's John Dempsey notes "corporate infighting" at
Court TV between its three owners, Time Warner, NBC and
Liberty Media. In March, Time Warner "installed one of its
veteran" execs, Thayer Bigelow, as Court TV CEO after
Stephen Brill sold his minority interest to Time Warner.
Dempsey: "Sources say Bigelow has functioned as a caretaker,
unable to give the go-ahead to programming initiatives like
covering sports law in a weekly series." Court TV Exec
VP/Programming Erik Sorenson: "Right now we're paralyzed in
terms of making any decisions" (VARIETY, 9/28 issue).
