DIRECTV WANTS COMCAST TO PLAY NICE IN OFFERING SPORTSNET

DirecTV filed a complaint with the FCC on Tuesday
"charging Comcast Corp. with unfair competition for refusing
to offer its new" RSN in Philadelphia to satellite
programmers, according to Scott Hettrick of the HOLLYWOOD
REPORTER. Comcast SportsNet debuts October 1 and Comcast
"intends" to make it "available exclusively to the cable
industry, shutting out all satellite competitors." Comcast
could not be reached for comment (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 9/24).
