          The Nashville NHL expansion franchise named TOM WARD
     VP/Business Operations.  Ward was most recently VP/Marketing
     for the Hornets (NHL/Nashville)....Orange County Register
     Sports Editor MARK TOMASZEWSKI will be assuming the position
     of Product Market Manager in the newspaper's Advertiser
     Marketing Division (THE DAILY)....CBS Sports VP/Business
     Development and CBS VP/Deputy Counsel DOUG JACOBS will join
     Court TV as Exec VP/General Counsel (BROADCASTING & CABLE,
     8/18)....ME-based American Skiing Company announced the
     following personnel moves: FLINT DECKER was named
     VP/Marketing; CHUCK STEEDMAN was named VP/Partnership
     Marketing; and BRUCE MCCLOY was named to Special Projects
     and Summer Marketing (American Skiing Co.).
