EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Nike named FRITS VAN PAASSCHEN to the newly created
     position of VP/Strategic Planning.  He was VP/Finance &
     Planning at Disney Consumer Products (Nike)....Wieden &
     Kennedy named BEN KLINE Global Dir on its Nike account. 
     Kline will replace JIM WARD, who recently left W&K to head
     marketing for LucasFilm (ADWEEK, 8/18 issue)....Rockies Dir
     of PR MIKE SWANSON will join the D'Backs in the same
     position, effective October 8 (D'Backs)....MLS's Chicago
     expansion team named ADAM LOW Dir of PR.  Low previously was
     Dir of PR for the Crew.  The Crew named JEFF WUERTH its new
     Dir of PR (MLS)....KENNETH SANDERS has resigned as Senior
     VP/CFO of Paging Network to become CFO of SportsLine USA
     (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/19).
