DEVOS ORGANIZATION REPORTEDLY INTERESTED IN RUNNING O-RENA

While "no formal talks have begun," Magic and IHL Solar
Bears execs "say they are interested in running the city-
owned and operated" Orlando Arena, according to Dan Tracy of
the ORLANDO SENTINEL. Magic Senior Dir of Communications
Alex Martins: "We are not at the point of discussing it yet.
Could it be an option? Yes." But the SENTINEL's Tracy
added that Orlando Mayor Glenda Hood "is not keen on the
idea." Hood: "I can't imagine considering that, given the
complexity of the situation." Among the concerns of Hood
and other city officials are who would be responsible for a
$25M debt on the arena, who would control booking and who
would pay for maintenance (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 8/17).
