NBA SUES STAR INT'L OVER ALLEGED COUNTERFEIT TRADING CARDS

          NBA Properties has sued FL-based Star International,
     Inc. and its owner, Robert Levin, alleging that the company
     and Levin engaged in the production, distribution and sale
     of counterfeit NBA trading cards.  Other defendants named
     include FL-based Color Systems Ltd. and its owner, James
     DeMarco, for allegedly printing some of the Star cards in
     question.  FL-based Sports Collectibles, Inc. and Owner Gary
     Fillers; NJ-based Collectors Alliance and Owner Michael
     Mezak; and TN-based Shop at Home, have also been named in
     the suit for allegedly serving as sales outlets for the
     counterfeit products.  The suit is pending in federal court
     in the Southern District of FL.  Presiding Judge Donald
     Graham has entered preliminary injunctions against the
     defendants, forbidding them from producing, distributing or
     selling counterfeit NBA trading cards (NBA).
