ballpark" for his AA Orlando Rays, said Thursday that "he
would consider" staying at current home Tinker Field "with
adequate renovation and area enhancement" (ORLANDO SENTINEL,
7/25)....Anheuser Busch's Sea World of Florida has signed a
contract with an unnamed buyer to sell the former Boardwalk
& Baseball property in FL that is the Spring Training home
of the Royals, who have a lease to play at the complex
through 2002 (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 7/24)....In St. Paul,
Charley Walters writes that officials from the city's NHL
franchise, Civic Center Authority and K.C.-based HOK will
tour arenas in Montreal, Ottawa, Philadelphia, San Jose and
Anaheim (PIONEER PRESS, 7/25).... In Detroit, Terry Foster,
on the impact of Detroit's new stadiums: "There are very
smart men and women who say the new Tigers and Lions
stadiums will not give us the economic benefits that the
city, county and sports teams promise. But ... just knowing
that someone is willing to build major projects in the city
