          ABC Sports will reschedule its replay of the Mike
     Tyson-Evander Holyfield fight from August 7 to August 14 to
     avoid a conflict with a Time Warner TVKO PPV card featuring
     Roy Jones Jr. (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 7/23)....ABC Sports has
     chosen Dan Fouts as its No. 2 college football analyst,
     replacing Dick Vermeil (PHILA. DAILY NEWS, 7/23)....The Golf
     Channel CEO Joe Gibbs told GOLFWEEK that he figures to be a
     "year away from making a profit."  Gibbs: "Last year we were
     looking for money to stay alive.  But we're over that hump
     that every business goes through and looking ahead to more
     growth" (GOLFWEEK, 7/19 issue)....Time Warner Chair Gerald
     Levin "is close to announcing" that Time Warner will air
     News Corp.'s Fox News Channel on its New York cable systems. 
     In N.Y., Phyllis Furman reports the move would show Levin's
     "unwillingness to get distracted by [Time Warner Vice Chair
     Ted] Turner's turf battles" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 7/23)....In
     DC, the ATP Legg Mason Tennis Classic finals on Sunday
     earned a 2.4 rating/6 share, on WDCA, which made it the
     highest-rated sports event on local TV that day between
     4:00-6:30 pm ET (WASHINGTON POST, 7/23).
