Jim Karvellas, Founder of the Celebrity Golf
Association (CGA), said he "believes two celebrity golfing
associations can survive," as the newly formed Celebrity
Players Tour is scheduled to hold an event the same weekend
as the CGA's Chicago Classic. Karvellas mentioned Penny
Hardaway and Allan Houston as "strong possibilities" for
next season's tour (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 6/22)....In St.

PETE TIMES, 6/22)....Comcast was featured on the front page
of the N.Y. TIMES' Sunday "Money & Business" section by
Geraldine Fabrikant under the header "The Heir Is Clearly
Apparent At Comcast." Fabrikant, on the transition from
founder Ralph Roberts to his son, Brian, to lead the
nation's 4th largest cable TV operator: "[E]xperts say the
odds of a successful transition are greater at Comcast than
at most family businesses. Mr. Roberts has by all accounts
done a skillful job of grooming Brian to fill his shoes so
that he is both respected by his peers and supported by his
siblings" (N.Y. TIMES, 6/22).
