          Sam Goody, the national music store chain owned by
     Musicland Stores Corp., will be the official music sponsor
     of the '97 Miller Lite AVP Men's Pro Beach Volleyball Tour
     (AD AGE, 6/18)....In its weekly release, the AVP thanked its
     sponsors for their "support and understanding" during the
     "political situation" when the AVP was "forced" to relocate
     its recent event from Manhattan Beach to Hermosa Beach
     (AVP)....The AVP has created avptour.com on the World Wide
     Web (AVP)....Ericsson Mobile Phones will be the presenting
     sponsor of Nike Sports Entertainment's production of the '97
     World Championships of Beach Volleyball, September 10-13 at
     UCLA (Nike Sports Entertainment).
