WASHINGTON OLYMPIC COMMITTEE ADDS PLAYERS TO ITS TEAM

          The Greater Washington Exploratory Committee announced
     Wednesday the addition of Atlanta-based Event Partners Inc.
     to its group seeking to bid on the Summer Olympic Games,
     "which are not likely to return" to the U.S. until 2012,
     according to the WASHINGTON POST.  Event Partners assisted
     Houston and Minneapolis with their Olympic bids.  Atlanta-
     based PR firm Cohn & Wolfe will work with Event Partners
     President Jack Kelly on Washington's bid, and the law firm
     of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld will handle "political
     strategy" (WASHINGTON POST, 6/12).
