SPALDING TO GET BACK INTO THE TENNIS RACKET, SIGNS WITH ATP

          Spalding and the ATP Tour announced a licensing,
     marketing and media partnership that includes media
     involvement with the ATP Tour, a player program, grassroots
     marketing programs, and a product development relationship. 
     The deal gives Spalding full product licensing to launch the
     "Official Rackets and Bags of the ATP Tour."  Spalding
     Sports Worldwide President George Dickerman: "We are proud
     to become the official racket of the ATP Tour and excited
     about the prospect of returning to the highest level of
     competitive tennis."  Spalding Business Dir of Racket Sports
     Steve Banks said the company will "focus on developing a
     sophisticated racket line that is tested and used by some of
     the best tennis players in the world."  The deal fills a
     core equipment product category in S.F. Sony Signatures'
     licensing campaign for the ATP Tour (Sony Signatures).
