watch is planned for Christmas (Watch Reebok)....The
marketability of women athletes was examined in the BOSTON
GLOBE. N.Y.-based Stars & Strategies President Sue Rodin,
on the marketplace for women athletes: "Unfortunately, at
this point it's thousands of dollars compared to millions.
One would hope that with the advent of women's professional
leagues - in basketball, soccer and fast-pitch baseball -
that will change. And as they get more exposure on TV and at
grassroots venues, their mark will increase and their
endorsements will follow" (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/27).
