NFLPA STILL NEEDS TO OK CFL-NFL DEAL; JOE SAYS NO TO CFL

          The NFL "may have been somewhat premature" announcing
     its new relationship with the CFL since the NFLPA must still
     give its approval, according to Gary Picknell of the TORONTO
     SUN.  An NFL source said that the NFLPA "isn't pleased with
     some of the terms of the agreement and could put up
     resistance" (TORONTO SUN, 4/30).
          JOE GIVES CFL THE HEISMAN: Joe Theismann said yesterday
     that "he isn't interested" in becoming the new commissioner
     of the CFL (Gary Picknell, TORONTO SUN, 4/30).
