NAMES IN THE NEWS

          The crew of HBO's Arli$$ had a busy weekend, taping
     shots Saturday with JERRY WEST and SHAQUILLE O'NEAL at the
     Great Western Forum, and with HANK AARON and RONNIE LOTT at
     a card show in Pomona, CA.  The new season of Arli$$ starts
     June 14 (THE DAILY)....A Norfolk, MA Superior Court Judge
     ruled that Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT can move forward in
     his effort to evict CHARLES SARKIS, the operator of a
     Foxboro Racetrack, from the site which Kraft purchased,
     along with 330 acres adjacent to Foxboro Stadium, for $16.2M
     last year.  According to "several sources," Kraft is
     weighing plans to build a new stadium on the Foxborough site
     to replace the current one, located across the street from
     the track site (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/26)....The N.Y. POST reports
     that OPRAH WINFREY cancelled an appearance on her show by
     DENNIS RODMAN last week because his new book, "Walk on the
     Wild Side," is too "raunchy" (N.Y. POST, 4/29).
