WHY STOP AT 21? IBL "NARROWS" FIELD OF POTENTIAL HOMES

          The International Basketball League said 21 cities are
     still being considered as possible homes for the ten teams
     in North America that will make up the league's inaugural
     season, set to debut next November.  The IBL will announce
     its final list of markets in early '97.  The 21 cities being
     considered: Anaheim, CA; Baltimore, MD; Buffalo, NY;
     Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; Fort Worth, TX; Greensboro, NC;
     Jacksonville, FL; Kansas City, MO; Long Island, NY;
     Louisville, KY; Memphis, TN; Nashville, TN; Norfolk, VA;
     Ottawa, Ont., Can.; Pittsburgh, PA; Richmond, VA; San Jose,
     CA; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL.  IBL
     Partner Ken Sawyer: "Our meetings with city officials and
     venue administrators have reaffirmed our belief that the IBL
     will have a major impact on the selected communities."  The
     IBL is a minor league basketball league for men 18+ (IBL).
