The "Disney" is officially out of the Disney Sports
Enterprises name. Disney Sports has been renamed Anaheim
Sports Inc. reportedly for "tax purposes and to reflect the
decision to include Anaheim in the names of both" the Mighty
Ducks and the Angels. Anaheim Sports President Tony Tavares
has replaced Disney Chair Michael Eisner as the Ducks'
representative on the NHL Board of Governors because of
Eisner's "full schedule" (L.A. TIMES, 12/5)....The Yankees
released its ticket increases for the '97 season. The
increases are the second in three seasons and comes after an
increase of club box seats by 30%, or $2,835 (N.Y. DAILY
NEWS, 12/7). Increases include lower box and loge from $19
to $23 (infield) and $21 (outfield); main and reserved $16-
20 (infield) and $18 (outfield); upper box $16.50-18 and
upper reserved $11.50-12. Bleacher seats remain $6 (N.Y.
TIMES, 12/7)....Vikings President Roger Headrick said the
NFL will give the team "until spring" to comply with league
rules that require each team to have one person with at
least a 30% ownership share (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE,
12/7)....In St. Pete, Robert Keefe notes that at the Glazer
family-owned Zapata Corp.'s annual meeting last Thursday,
Bucs Owner Malcolm Glazer and his son and Zapata President &
CEO Avram Glazer "emphatically denied" that they were "using
Zapata's cash to pay for the Bucs." Malcolm Glazer, on
reports he was having trouble paying for the team:
