yesterday.  Wolves Coach Flip Saunders: "Kevin said to me, 'How
many kids get to meet the president?' (Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE,
10/29)....Patriots Coach BILL PARCELLS, on a report in the
EDELSTEIN REPORT, in which Fred Edelstein wrote Parcells will
coach the Jets or Falcons next year: "You mean the Moron Report.
That guy is a throw-it-at-the-wall guy and he throws it and sees
if some of it sticks" (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/26)....MIKE LUPICA
appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" to promote his new book
"Mad As Hell: How Sports Got Away from the Fans and How We Get It
Back."  Lupica: "We've [fans] become the least important part of
the equation. And we've always been taught to believe that we
were a real important part of the equation" (ABC, 10/29).
