MEDIA NOTES

     Classic Sports Network has entered into an expanded
distribution agreement with Cox Communications that could
ultimately add "more than one million subscribers for the
network."  Under the deal, Cox will begin a broader roll-out of
the network in October beyond current Cox systems in AZ, NE, OH,
and CT (Classic Sports Network)....ESPN and ESPN2 have announced
their schedules for the '96-97 NHL season.  ESPN will televise 26
regular season games, beginning October 4 with the Avalanche-
Blues.  ESPN2 will show up to 78 regular season contests,
beginning October 6 with Wayne Gretzky's Ranger debut against the
Panthers (ESPN). ..ESPNEWS chief Vince Doria says the channel,
scheduled for launch November 1, plans to spend more time on
breaking news stories and cover topics that "don't get enough
attention on 'SportsCenter,' such as the business of sports,
sports technology, women's sports and high school sports"
