MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

     As part of the NFL Experience, the league is holding the NFL
Champion Throwbacks Training Camp in five markets: Green Bay
(September 28); Miami (September 28); Chicago (October 19); San
Francisco (November 3); and Canton, OH (September 21).  Fans can
register to win trips to the camp at participating retailers:
Kohl's in Green Bay and Chicago; Sears in Miami and JCPenney in
San Francisco.  The Canton camp cost $250 and fans can call the
Pro Football Hall of Fame for more information.  Among the
players participating: Hall of Famers Ray Nitschke, Gale Sayers,
Deacon Jones and Paul Warfield (NFL)....IL-based Brunswick Corp.
has completed the purchase of Roadmaster Industries' bicycle,
sled and wagon business for $198M (CHICAGO TRIBUNE,
9/10)....Labor Secretary Robert Reich "praised" the FIFA
yesterday for taking action to put pressure on manufacturers who
use children to help stitch soccer balls (USA TODAY,
9/10)....Lynx Golf is starting an agency search for its estimated
$5-10M ad account.  The business is currently at DDB Needham,
L.A.  Lynx Chair and CEO Edward White: "It's not because we are
displeased with DDB. ...But we are looking at all aspects of our
business" (ADWEEK, 9/9 issue).
