EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     CAROL BLAZEJOWSKI, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame
and an NBA exec for the past six years, has been named Dir of
Basketball Development for the WNBA.  The appointment is
effective October 1 and she will oversee a variety of national
and community-based initiatives aimed at creating grass-roots
awareness of the WNBA (NBA)....Burn Senior VP of Marketing/Sales
PAUL PHIPPS has joined the MLS league office as VP/Marketing &
Broadcasting (MLS)....BellSouth Exec Dir /Olympic Programs DON
REICHARDT announced his retirement, effective October 31
(BellSouth)....Footaction USA President & CEO RALPH PARKS will
serve a second one-year term as Chair of NSGA's Board of
Directors.  Nation's Best Sports President HERB BIDDLE and Play
It Again Sports President CHARLIE KANAN were elected new members
of the NSGA Board of Directors (NSGA)....ERIC HANDLER has been
promoted to Coordinator, Corporate Communications for ESPN, Inc.
He had been a Senior Publicist. ESPN Exec VP/GM of ESPN Int'l,
ANDY BRILLIANT, has left the network and moved into consulting
(ESPN)....The 76ers named JOE MASTERS Dir of Fan Relations
(76ers)....The Mavs named former player MARK AGUIRRE Dir of
Player Development/Scout.  He had been working behind the scenes
for the Mavs since Ross Perot Jr. and David McDavid bought the
team (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 8/29).
