NBC'S NFL PREGAME SHOW TO SPLIT AD TIME WITH AFFILIATES

The expanded "NFL on NBC" pregame show will be an hour this
season, but only the last half-hour will get a Nielsen rating.
NBC's affiliates, who gave up the 12:00-12:30pm ET slot for the
expanded show, will get to sell local ads in "that half-hour
while NBC Sports sells national commercials in the second half
hour" (Rudy Martzke, USA TODAY, 8/23).
