     The first race at the new Texas Motor Speedway is nearly
eight months away, but the "commercial waves" from the $110M
track have "rippled into local business," according to the FT.
WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM.  The Automotive Shop Manager Clay Henderson:
"I'll take customers up there just like I take them to Dallas
Cowboys and Texas Rangers games" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM,
8/23)....The World Cup of Hockey announced Allsport Photography
is the "Official Photographer of the World Cup of Hockey."
Allsport will photograph and distribute images from the games and
make them available to media outlets via the Internet (Allsport).
.....Tiger Woods, on Nike Chair Phil Knight's presence in the
gallery at the U.S. Amateur: "It's nice that he comes out here.
It shows that it's nice being the president when you don't have
to work very much" (USA TODAY, 8/23).....The Tate George "Dream
Shot" Foundation and American Airlines present the Third Annual
"Dream Shot" Celebrity Jam September 8 in Hartford.  The "Dream
Shot" Foundation, along with the Hartford Public School system
and Marcus Camby's "Cambyland" Foundation, will raise funds for
the "Dads Do Make A Difference Project" (Dream Shot).
