VALVOLINE KICKS OFF COLLEGE FOOTBALL REBATE OFFER

     As part of its ABC Sports College Football sponsorship,
Valvoline offers "Big Play" rebates on Valvoline Motor Oil.  From
September 1-November 30, consumers get a rebate of $4 per case or
$.33 per quart on Valvoline motor oil.  Certain quarts of
Valvoline motor oil will feature special peel-off rebate labels
that consumers can mail in to receive their rebates. Consumers
can participate in Valvoline's "Option Play" game rebate on other
Valvoline products. (Valvoline).
     MORE COLLEGE PROMOS: Bayer Corp.'s Alka-Seltzer launches a
college football greatest rivalries in-store promo this fall in
support of the College Football Hall-of-Fame.  The sweepstakes,
called "Marquee Match-Ups," was developed and managed by PSP
Sports Marketing.  The Collegiate Licensing Company handled
licensing. Four Grand Prize winners will get trips to the '97
Nokia Sugar Bowl, the '96 National Championship Game (CLC).
