AGENCY NEWS: SPORTS AUTHORITY LOOKS TO CHANGE ACCOUNT

      Ross Roy Communications of Bloomfield Hills, MI, has
dropped The Sports Authority's account for broadcast creative and
media buying and planning, which is "said to have shrunk" to $3M.
The retailer is believed to be contacting agencies, including
Cliff Freeman & Partners, New York (AD AGE, 7/29).  Ross Roy will
complete work scheduled for the back-to-school season.  The
Sports Authority's ad budget is estimated at $20M, with "most of
that spent for print ads, which are created in-house" (N.Y.
TIMES, 7/29).
     FILA:  Fila, USA has awarded the Arnell Group in New York
two new North American assignments that involve women's shoes and
promotion of technology performance for Fila USA.  Billings have
yet to be determined.  FCB/Leber Katz Partners remains as Fila's
main agency (N.Y. TIMES, 7/29).
