GARDEN STEPS UP SAFETY BY CUTTING DOWN CORNERMEN

Due to the riot following the Bowe-Golota fight July 11 at
Madsion Square Garden, MSG VP John Cirillo announced yesterday
that beginning with the August 20 Buster Mathis-Lou Savarese
bout, the fighters' entourages will be limited to four people
each. The N.Y. POST reports Cirillo has also held talks with NYC
police over increased presence during fights and will issue a
release on new preventive measures a few days before the August
20 card. Cirillo: "We will be prepared with full-scale measures
not to let this happen again. I truly believe that our fans are
confident in the safety of being at the Garden" (N.Y. POST,
