STADIUM NOTES

     A county plan soliciting developers to replace Nassau
Coliseum acknowledges that selling naming rights is a
possibility -- as long as "Veterans Memorial" remains a part of
the title.  Spectator Management Group, which runs the Coliseum,
last week submitted a naming rights proposal to Nassau County
Exec Thomas Gulotta (NEWSDAY, 7/1)....K.C.-based HNTB Corp. will
serve as lead design architect for the Warriors' renovated
Oakland Arena.  The 19,200-seat facility is scheduled to be
completed in time for '97-98 (HNTB).... The ST. PETE TIMES' Larry
Dougherty examines the negotiating strategy of Bucs Owner Malcolm
Glazer, noting suggestions that he is "actively sabotaging"
efforts to gain support for a half-cent sales tax (ST. PETERSBURG
TIMES, 7/1).
