THRIFTY SIGNS ON AS TITLE SPONSOR OF PIGSKIN CLASSIC

     Thrifty Car Rental has signed on as title sponsor of the
Pigskin Classic, one of two preseason college football games
broadcast nationally on ABC.  This year's game -- BYU vs. Texas
A&M -- will be played August 24 in Provo, UT.  Thrifty's other
football deals include "The Thrifty Car Rental Post Game Report"
on ABC, and "The Thrifty Car Rental Bowl Week" on ESPN.  In horse
racing, Thrifty is the title sponsor of "Racing Across America"
on ESPN; and in figure skating, Thrifty is the official car
rental company of the USFSA and the U.S. Figure Skating Team and
title sponsor of "Skate America" on ABC (Thrifty).  The game will
be known as the Thrifty Car Rental Pigskin Classic (AD AGE
ONLINE, 6/4).
