MEDIA NOTES

In Boston, Jack Craig reports that both of Chicago's all-

SportsCenter anchor Keith Olbermann away from ESPN. Craig notes
one reason Olbermann may leave: "He is a restless soul."

telecast on the network -- a 2.8 cable rating, translating into a
count of 1,904,000 homes (ESPN). TBS got a 4.6 for NASCAR's
Coca-Cola 600, a new record for that race. Also, ESPN's NHL
playoff ratings are up 25% to 1.4 overall, and up 33% to 2.4 for
the conference finals (USA TODAY, 5/30)....Corel will leverage
its title sponsorship of the WTA Tour with TV buys "in excess of
$1 million" on NBC's French Open and Wimbledon coverage,
according to the latest INSIDE MEDIA. Patrick Reid, Corel's Dir
of Sponsorship & Promotion, said they are negotiating with CBS on
U.S. Open coverage and also have bought time on Prime and ABC's
Nuveen Champions Tour (Brockinton & Reynolds, INSIDE MEDIA, 5/30
issue)....Bob Greenway, The Golf Channel's VP of Programming,
denies reports that TGC might be bought by ESPN. Greenway told
