STADIUM NOTES

     The Ravens reached an agreement with Western MD College to
use the school for the team's first training camp this summer.
The Colts trained at the same site from '48-71 and were scheduled
to return there in '84 before moving to Indianapolis (Baltimore
SUN, 5/8)....TIME's Steve Wulf writes how three of MLB's
remaining "treasured ballparks" --Fenway Park, Tiger Stadium and
Yankee Stadium -- will soon fall victim to the "wrecking ball of
avarice" (TIME, 5/13). ....The Sabres will offer a free public
"Sneak Peek" of its Marine Midland Arena on May 19
(Sabres)....The seven-member board of the Seattle Public
Facilities District has named the Ackerley site south of the
Kingdome as its first choice for a new Mariners' ballpark
(SEATTLE TIMES, 5/7).... Structural work on the USTA's new $234M
stadium in Flushing Meadows, NY, is complete and the overall
project should be ready for the '97 U.S. Open (USTA)....Joe
Robbie Stadium officials are "retooling" pricing and packaging
terms for club seats and luxury boxes after "widespread outcry"
over  a March price hike (Ft. Lauderdale SUN SENTINEL, 5/4)....
Harris County Judge Robert Eckels will present plans within a
month for a $200M domed stadium in Houston to house both football
and rodeo (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 5/9).
