     Logo Athletic has made a donation to the American Heart
Association in honor of John McSherry (THE DAILY)....Of the 45
events played this year on the five leading golf tours, Great Big
Bertha Titanium Drivers represent 69.8% of the total titanium
drivers used.  Players using Great Big Bertha Titanium Drivers
have won 19 tournaments, or 43% of these tournaments (Callaway
Golf).  Callaway ran full-page ads in today's USA Today, N.Y.
Times, and Wall Street Journal touting these facts about their
Great Big Bertha Drivers (THE DAILY)....John Hancock Mutual Life
Insurance Senior Exec VP David D'Alessandro is profiled in the
BOSTON GLOBE.  He notes the Boston Marathon "doesn't have the
appeal of the Olympic rings," in terms of helping salespeople
outside of the U.S., but it is "precious" in Greater Boston
(BOSTON GLOBE, 4/10)....Deli chain Blimpie is sponsoring the
"BlimpieCam" on SportsChannel Ohio Indians broadcasts.  The "cam"
is a new camera in a fixed position high atop Jacobs Field that
delivers new angles of the batter, catcher and umpire from behind
home plate (SportsChannel OH)....S.F. ad agency Goodby,
Silverstein & Partners will end its four-year relationship with
Sega of America after losing a "prime piece" of the account (S.F.
CHRONICLE, 4/11)....Ferrari will reportedly break a "lifetime
tradition" and incorporate a sponsor's name into its Formula One
team name next year.  It is "75-percent certain" the team and
cars will be called "Marlboro Ferraris" (NATIONAL SPEED SPORT
NEWS, 4/10 issue)....Several NFL stars, such as Herschel Walker,
Troy Aikman and Deion Sanders, are set to cut tracks for two
albums being put out by Gridiron/Castle Records at the start of
the NFL season.  The albums will be called "NFL Country" and "NFL
Jams" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 4/11).
