AND THEN THERE WERE TWO IN BROWARD

The Panthers' new Broward County arena will be located in
either Ft. Lauderdale or Sunrise after the Broward County
Commission eliminated Pompano Beach and Miramar as potential
sites, according to the MIAMI HERALD. The HERALD's Rafinski &
Prater report Panthers Owner Wayne Huizenga's recommendation
"could be the deciding factor" because most commissioners want to
avoid a "controversial choice." Sunrise had been considered the
"anointed favorite" until Huizenga took a "fresh look" at Fort
Lauderdale last week. A final decision is expected April 15
(MIAMI HERALD, 4/10).
