     The Women's Sports Foundation has joined with Lifetime
Television by placing its Web site exclusively on Lifetime
Online.  The site will feature news and information on over 80
sports.  Address: http://www.lifetimetv.com (Lifetime). ....Sony
Computer Entertainment America boasts "NFL GameDay" as its top-
selling software for Sony's PlayStation (SCEA). ....CBS plans on
broadcasting five or six boxing cards in May, June and July as
part of its "CBS Sports Show" (INSIDE MEDIA, 4/3-16
issue)....Prime Sports radio has expanded to five new affiliates
in Elko, NV, Cincinnati, Anchorage, Ithaca, NY, and Seattle
(Prime Sports Radio)....SI Presents has published a special
collectors issue commemorating Kentucky's victory in the Final
Four (SI Presents)....AOL has started "Extreme Fans Baseball
Daily," a new sports forum for online chat and news (AOL)....MSG
Network Exec VP Joe Cohen reports that ad sales for the Yankees
are 40% higher than at this point last year.  Tom Marsillo,
VP/Dir of Sales for SportsChannel NY, says the station has
already sold more Mets ads than all of last year and may break
sales records (CRAIN'S N.Y. BUSINESS, 4/1 issue)....HBO Sports
will debut an Olympic-themed documentary in June.  "Spirit of the
Games" will look at athletes that competed in the '20-60 Games
(HBO)....In Boston, Jack Craig criticizes CBS' Jim Nantz
commercial promoting Lynx with former college roommate Fred
Couples.  Craig does note The Masters' exclusivity with Travelers
and Cadillac will prevent the ad from airing this weekend (BOSTON
GLOBE, 4/9)...."NewSport Talk" will air an NFL Draft preview
April 19 at New York's All Star Cafe (NewSport)....SITV will air
an Olympic special, "A Prelude to the Games," on July 17, 48-
hours before the opening ceremony, on NBC (SITV)....The FCC
agreed to deregulate rates within three-years for most of the
U.S.'s 62 million cable subscribers (USA TODAY, 4/10)....A three-
way alliance was announced Tuesday between MCI, Microsoft and
Digital Equipment to jointly provide a "foray of intranet goods
and services" ("Moneyline," CNN, 4/9)....CNN's Lou Dobbs also
reported financial problems at Prodigy "are coming to a head."
The online service is apparently set to announce a "massive round
of layoffs as it struggles to stay alive" ("Moneyline," CNN,
4/9)....Upcoming guests on Prodigy chat lines:  NHL analyst John
Davidson, April 11; Nets GM Willis Reed, April 12; and Knicks
forward J.R. Reid, April 14  (Prodigy)...."ET" covered Andre
