     Debate begins this week in the FL Legislature on whether
voters will be asked to approve a 5% rental car tax to help fund
the Bucs' $168M stadium (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 4/8). ....A Deloitte &
Toche audit determined that Maricopa County Stadium District
officials violated AZ law by advancing $1.4M from the Cactus
League revenue account to pay expenses connected with Bank One
Ballpark construction (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 4/6)....After hearing
results of a study putting the cost of potential renovations to
the Kingdome at $197M, a King County task force agreed to analyze
ways to make the dome a financial success should the Seahawks
leave for a new facility (Tacoma NEWS TRIBUNE, 4/6)....A MIAMI
HERALD article describes how the deal for the Heat's new Dade
County arena "jelled with blinding speed" with help from key
players:  Heat Owner Micky Arison, Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo
and Seaport Director Carmen Lunetta (MIAMI HERALD, 4/8)....More
