CARDINALS OWNER MEETS ABOUT NORTH PHOENIX STADIUM SITE

     Cardinals Owner Bill Bidwill said yesterday he met with
Hollywood Park officials last week about building a domed, multi-
use stadium at Turf Paradise in North Phoenix,  according to the
ARIZONA REPUBLIC.  Bidwill said the meeting was "pleasant" but
"brief," adding that Hollywood Park officials "expressed an
interest in having something at Turf Paradise," a race track
operated by Hollywood Park.  Bidwill noted he would sign a long-
term lease for the Cardinals if a multi-use stadium were built,
but added financing was not discussed.  Bidwill said his
discussions with Hollywood Park does not change the fact that
they still want an NFL team for L.A. (Bob Petrie, ARIZONA
REPUBLIC, 4/9).
