Vegas' McCarran Airport. Thompson said he did so on the request
of Georgetown President Rev. Leo O'Donovan. Thompson: "It was
never my intention in any way to create any grief for him"
("SportsCenter," ESPN, 3/20). Tony Kornheiser lauds Thompson's
decision: "Why forfeit any of his stature on something like
this?" (WASH. POST, 3/21).
