CITIZEN WATCH SIGNS ON AS FIRST USTA CORPORATE CHAMPION

     Citizen Watch has expanded its sponsorship role with the
USTA as part of a new program called USTA Corporate Champions.
The first sponsor to be named a USTA Corporate Champion, Citizen
will be joined by other companies to provide support to the
USTA's mission to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the
U.S., while achieving a presence throughout various levels of the
sport -- from recreational play to the U.S. Open.  Citizen has
been the official timekeeper and watch of the U.S. Open since
'93.  Through this new partnership, which extends through 2000,
Citizen will remain exclusive timer of the U.S. Open while
furthering its relationship with the USTA as official timer and
watch of the League Tennis Program, Adult and Senior National
Championships, Player Development Program, U.S. Men's Clay Court
Championships and XL Bermuda Open (USTA).
