     IndyCar team owner Derrick Walker, on the IRL-CART dispute:
"Personally, I doubt if there will ever be a compromise.  I think
we'll be forever separated."  Walker was to have had drivers at
the Indy and U.S. 500's, but will instead have both Scott
Goodyear and Robby Gordon at the CART race in Michigan.  There is
a chance Mike Groff will represent Walker -- and sponsor
Valvoline -- at Indy (DETROIT NEWS, 3/15).  Entry invitations to
Indy were mailed yesterday (Indianapolis Motor
Speedway)....Diamondbacks Owner Jerry Colangelo says he still
plans to present the idea of a neutral-site World Series at next
week's owners meetings in Phoenix (USA TODAY, 3/15)....Slow
ticket sales forced the cancellation of the TeamTennis Cup at the
new Stone Mountain Tennis Center in GA, the site of '96 Olympic
tennis.  ACOG had contracted with promoter Ken Small to organize
the event (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 3/14)....NFL officials have met
with marketing exec Max Muhleman on selling PSLs in Cleveland
(Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 3/14).
