MAKING AN HONEST BUCK OFF FRANCHISE RELOCATIONS

Seahawks DE Brent Williams has moved 10 times in his career,
which led him to open a moving consulting company called "Team
Relocations." Since starting the venture, Williams and his
partner, Rodney Whitlow, have moved cars, furniture and
belongings for more than 1,000 athletes, and he has already
submitted a bid to organize and plan the moves of each Seahawk
player if the team heads south as proposed, according to John
Clayton of the Tacoma NEWS TRIBUNE. The company has also bid for
Art Modell's business, but Williams noted that his partner is
from Cleveland, so it was "difficult for him to submit a bid for
the team that he cheered for so many years" (Tacoma NEWS TRIBUNE,
2/27). In ESPN's "Inside the Huddle" segment, Clayton noted
Williams' book on moving expenses, "A Winning Game Plan," and
said that, ironically, Williams gave copies to teammates at the
end of last season, before he knew of Ken Behring's intentions to
move ("SportsCenter," 2/27).
