      According to the WALL STREET JOURNAL, the net income of 692
large companies declined 18% from the year-earlier quarter,
compared with a rise of 5% in the third quarter and a 61% rise in
the fourth quarter of '94.  One-time charges for accounting
changes and another wave of restructuring to cut costs made
profits look worse than they were (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
2/20)....Rockies Manager Don Baylor has signed on as a
spokesperson for Golf Smith, a TX-based company that makes custom
golf clubs (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 2/19)....Aspen Skiing Co., which
operates Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and
Buttermilk, has agreed to rejoin the promotional trade group
Colorado Ski Country USA.  The announcement comes as Ski Country
announced plans to spend 50% more of its budget on marketing
(DENVER POST, 2/17)....Hasbro Inc. announced its board has
boosted its quarterly cash dividend to $.10/share from $.08/share
(N.Y. POST, 2/20)....Planet Hollywood International Inc. hopes to
raise $190.5M by selling stock to the public.  $130M would go to
pay off the restaurant chain's debts (ORLANDO SENTINEL,
2/20)....A listing of the companies getting the most ad exposure
on prime time TV for the week of January 29-February 4:
McDonalds, Burger King, Ford F150 trucks, Domino's Pizza,
Wendy's, Prudential Insurance, Hallmark Greeting Cards, Alka-
Seltzer Cold Remedy, Red Lobster and Pizza Hut (USA TODAY,
2/19).....Time Warner Entertainment Co. said its Warner Bros.
Studio Stores unit plans to open three stores in Japan in April
(WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/20). ....Analysts expect the "healthiest"
advertising holding companies, the Omnicom Group, the Interpublic
Group and the WPP Group, to show gains of more than 15% over the
same quarter in '95 (Sally Beatty, WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/20).
