ONE XCEL FORMALIZES SHIELD DEAL WITH RIDDELL

     One Xcel, Inc., the manufacturer of the new ONE XCEL eye
shield for athletes, and Riddell yesterday officially announced
an exclusive three-year pact for use of the ONE XCEL face shield
on all Riddell football helmets worldwide.  Under terms of the
agreement, the football shields will carry both the ONE XCEL and
the Riddell brand identity.  The announcement was made jointly by
Riddell Senior VP Bill Sherman and One Xcel, Inc. President Ed
Jarvis.  Jarvis:  "Riddell's direct distribution network will
ensure that any football player who desires such protection will
be able to access this revolutionary new product."  ONE XCEL is
the first protective shield where curves and thickness give
athletes the correct optical view (One Xcel).
