EMMITT SMITH has fired his Atlanta-based agent RICHARD HOWELL and
announced he will represent himself in upcoming negotiations with
the Cowboys (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 1/25)....Steelers LB KEVIN
GREENE used his off-day Tuesday to go to Las Vegas for a pro
wrestling match.  He worked in HULK HOGAN's corner while Hogan
and RANDY "MACHO MAN" SAVAGE took on the "NATURE BOY" RIC FLARE
and THE GIANT (ARIZONA DAILY STAR, 1/25).  Greene also said he
would cut his shoulder-length blond hair is the Steelers win the
Super Bowl (AP/WASHINGTON TIMES, 1/25)....Steelers President DAN
ROONEY, on how the game has changed since he was GM during Super
Bowl XIII:  "To be honest, it's more JERRY JONES now, more about
selling, and advertising and sponsors.  For me, it's about the
game" (Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE, 1/25)....NFL MVP BRETT FAVRE, on
getting more commercial endorsements:  "I would like to be
recognized as one of the best not only on the field, but off it.
I would like to do some of those things" ("Up Close," ESPN,
