     FIFA President Joao Havelange said discussions are in the
works to rotate the World Cup between continents, meaning a
return to the U.S. as soon as 2014 (USA TODAY, 1/3).  Havelange
said the 2006 Cup will be held in Africa for the first time
(Mult., 1/1)....The PGA Tour is trying to impose a no autograph
rule at events until players complete their rounds (USA TODAY,
1/3)....The Bullets and Magic have been invited by the NBA to
play their first two regular-season games in Tokyo at the
beginning of next season (WASHINGTON TIMES, 12/31)....NBA
attendance is up 4% as of last week, with the per-game average at
16,786 (NBA)....Over 250 NBA players will make at least $1M this
season, with seven making over $7M.  Patrick Ewing leads with a
$18.7M salary this season (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 12/24).
