PLANS FOR PSLS RECEIVE MIXED REVIEWS FROM TOUGH PATS FANDOM

The prospects of paying for PSLs in New England for the
Patriots has been met with mixed reviews, according to David
Halbfinger of the BOSTON GLOBE. Most fans at Sunday's game in
Foxboro "reacted angrily" to Owner Robert Kraft's plan to sell
PSLs ranging from $250 to $4,000 to pay for about 1/3 of a
proposed $200M facility. But "feelings were soothed" a bit when
ticket holders "began to understand what the extra fees would
bring them," including priority seating to other events.
Marketing exec Max Muhleman, who brought the concept to the NFL,
said if fans keep seats for 20 years "at $500 a seat, that's
$2.50 a game." Under the current team proposal, the Bank of
Boston will offer special loans to PSL buyers payable over
several years (BOSTON GLOBE, 12/14).
