     INSIDE SPORTS Exec VP/Publisher JERRY CROFT will make a
guest appearance in an upcoming episode of "Baywatch" in which
Croft will award GENA LEE NOLIN's character the cover shot in the
magazine's swimsuit edition.  The episode is a promotional
partnership between the show and magazine.  The episode airs
January 29, the same week the I.S. swimsuit issue hits the stands
(Inside Sports)....BILL MURRAY and MIKE VEECH have purchased a
majority interest in the Rookie Pioneer League Butte Copper Kings
(USA TODAY, 12/13).... JOHN MCENROE has been signed to play
guitar at the Official All Star Cafe's opening Monday in New
York.  Rumor is  SHAQ O'NEAL may join him on stage (N.Y. POST,
12/13).
